Jason Racca PT, DPT
Jason was born in Lafayette, LA and moved to Houston, Texas in 1989; however he
still hold true to his roots when it comes to Cajun food. He attended high school
in Missouri City, TX at Elkins High School. After graduating, he attended Texas
A&M University in College Station and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology.
Jason graduated form Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX in 2007 with his Doctorate
in Physical Therapy. Prior to starting here in Richardson, Jason did clinical rotations
at Parkland Hospital, as well as Select Physical Therapy in McKinney, and Healthsouth
Rehab Hospital of Plano. Jason has a strong interest in manual therapy and is actively
pursuing the Certified Functional Manual Therapist certification. He spent 3 1/2
months doing a clinical rotation at the Institute of Physical Art which offers the
Certified Functional Manual Therapy certification. While in school, Jason participated
in research exploring causes of neck and back pain. Jason is a member of the American
Physical Therapy Association, the orthopedic section of the APTA, the Texas Physical
Therapy Association, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists.
Jason is married to his lovely wife, Elizabeth, who is a pediatric physical therapist
in Richardson as well. They currently have no kids or pets. In his spare time, Jason
enjoys swimming, biking, running, and reading.
