Rehabilitation of the Injured Worker
Our board certified functional manual therapists are uniquely trained to examine
your functional limitations and design a treatment program that matches your specific
needs. We employ a one on one treatment approach and maintain continuity of care
throughout your rehabilitation by having you see the same therapist for each and
every visit. This ensures an accurate assessment and education of your condition,
appropriate progression of treatment, and communication with your physician. At
Richardson Spine and Sports Therapy we utilize a combination of hands-on
care1 , education on proper postural alignment and body mechanics,
and progressive therapeutic exercises to improve flexibility, strength and conditioning
needed to return to work safely.
What our patients have to say…..
“In just a few sessions I was as good as new. The home exercises the therapist assigned
were easy to do and maintain. Treatment was so good and corrected my problem that
I got an early release. Thank you for such wonderful care and attention”- M. W.
“My initial evaluation was personal and in-depth. Great care was taken to fully
understand the injury and my expectations for recovery. Therapy was totally customized
for my particular situation. The staff was focused on my well-being and adjusted
therapy to ensure a complete recovery. It was a great experience and I’d highly
recommend anyone who needs a customized, caring therapy program.”- R.R.A II

Vol. 28, No. 6, pp. 525-532. This study compared treatment for low back pain between
manual therapy with exercise against exercise-only therapy. The results showed a
significant improvement in those treated by manual therapy with exercise (67% returned
to work in 2 months) compared to exercise-only therapy ( 27% return to work in 2
months).
